hello!
since october i have been studying through in edinburgh, and i would just
like to take this oppotunity to say what a disgrace edinburgh bams are! you
just dont get the same quality of bam here that you do in glasgow. only ONCE
in the last three months have i been harassed on a bus by 12yearold kids in
kappa! that is appalling. i go home tomoro, and i wouldnt be surprised if i
get some abuse before even leaving queen street station. itll be a great
feeling to be back home. its just not the same without random drunken bams
harassing you in the street. a good indicator of your bam level is the angle
at which they wear their silly hats. in edinburgh, you're lucky if you see
anything near a 45degree angle, but in glasgow its not uncommon to see
numerous wide-os with caps almost reaching a 90-degree angle, pointing
straight up in the air! that is how it should be done! and another thing,
ive not seen ANYONE drinking buckfast on street corners since i moved here!
do these edinburgh folk not have any idea of their national heritage? i am
writing to the scottish executive to try and get them to introduce bam
training schemes to this impoverished city, devoid of bam culture, one of
the few truly scottish traditions left in the 21st century.
thank you for listening.

ps - i think the general english term for a bam/ned is a scallie, but im
pretty sure they dont even come close to the cult status that bam culture
enjoys north of the border. ;)

hello folks,
hope all is well with you all, and all is sound in the land of
parkandride.
we just want to say a big thanks to everyone who came along to
the shows last week. it was fun to be playing again and we had a good round
trip, cheers.
big thanks to all at strange fruit, tompaulin and chris
leonard.
after our nine hour drive home, the first words we were
greeted
with in glasgow were from a ned/bam who thought we were following him in
the
minibus. "are you following me? are you following me? are you the polis? if
you're the polis, i haven't done anything, and if you're not the police i'm
going to rip your jugular and piss down your f**cking neck' aaah, its good
to be home
cheers, Gavin
ps. i am not, nor have i ever been, nor am i ever likely to be a bouncer
