Hi parkandride,
I was in london this week, so took the fantastic opportunity to see
Camera Obscura at the Spitz. I was lucky enough to be (almost) at the
front of the group of 'civillians'.
Good points:
Camera Obscura live - great stuff, tingly feeling on your neck and a
slight tear in the eye - emotional stuff!
Standing at the front - great for sound, and makes for a wonderful
experience.
Tompaulin - even better than I thought they would be - another cd to buy!
Chris Leonard - was impressed with the excellent guitar playing, and
songs.
B&S - Marx & Engels being played earlier in the evening (cd).
Introducing 3 friends to CO - who thought all the 'bands' were great.
Not so good points:
Background noise - why pay to see live bands, and spend the night
talking at the bar?
Lack of posters for sale! - who pinched the one from the wall on the
stairs?
Roll on second album >>>
Bye parkandriders,
Matt.
ps. was stuart murdoch there?
<jamie's earlier email>
"3.Murdoch humping drums around.( like a roadie hehehe)"
</jamie's earlier email>
pps. is 'i don't do crowds' referring to B&S as the 'special band'? -
probably a stupid question, sorry!
