Hi,

Hope all is well in the land of parkandride and the kingdom of Partick.

I just wanted to add that I also really enjoyed Wednesday night. Great to
see Mistopher Chris play again (its been over a year!). I thought he was in
fine voice & playing well, although he could have done with a wee bit more
amplification to overcome the louder than normal fuckwit-at-the-bar racket.
We the audience should have stood closer too, so that he could see us. It
must be weird playing at a dark chattering void.

Fourth (?) time seen Camera Obscura & I think they get better every time.
They played:

Anti-Western
The Sun On His Back
Before You Greet
Don't Do Crowds
Swimming Pool
Pen And Notebook
Number One Son
Chicago New York
Eighties Fan
Happy New Year

Obviously we didn't clap loud enough at the end, as the setlist also had
Call Me & Park And Ride (our National Anthem?) down for encores.

The sound was v clear - I could hear what everyone was playing/singing.
(That's not just to be creepy to that soundman, either. Although Gav & Kenny
said the sound onstage was poor, where I was standing it was better than
fine.) The highlights for me were Nigel's double quick lips on Number One
Son (great beat too) & the bit at the end of Before You Cry when Tracyanne
sings "I love you baby/ oh please don't hate me/ you're feeling a little sad
tonight but you'll be alright."

I'm not sure about picking the most blatantly B&S Aislers Set track to
cover, though. Wyatt's song even used to be on Napster as a Belle And
Sebastian song.

(BTW, does anyone have a copy of the Strange Fruit flyer for the gig I could
have, please?)

Well done to all concerned & lets do it all again tomorrow afternoon!

love,

David
