Hello all,
hope everyone is well, and all is sound in the land of park
and ride. I would like to wish everyone a merry christmas, and a
drunken and enjoyable new year.
Its been a frantic last couple of weeks. camera obscura
have finally (to all intents and purposes) finished recording our
album. We start mixing between christmas and new year, and hopefully
it shouldn't take too long.
Last Monday was our christmas park and ride in the 13th
Note, with Tracyanne and John making their debut djing, and Tacoma
Radar and Stabiliser playing live. It was good fun, but I don't fancy
playing with two different bands on the same night again. Talk about
shattered. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but after spending
the weekend in the studio, and djing the previous three nights, I was
a bit tired before playing, never mind afterwards.
The weekend was of course made all the more interesting by
the presence of some of the Mell Street massive. On a whim, Pop and
Matt flew up to Glasgow for three days. An enjoyable time was had by
all, even though on two of the three nights, Martin insisted on
wimping out when the pubs shut, and actually going to sleep. Mind
you, on the Monday this did mean he avoided a shoeing after being
highly offensive to Kenny Tacoma Radar. I thought it was quite
amusing cause I realised he was joking. There is a line, and it has
to be said, that last monday night, Martin Robinson had no idea it
even existed, never mind where it was. Woops!!! As Matt pointed out,
its actually rather ironic, cause usually its him that offends
people. Anyway, cheers for coming up. It was a pleasure. I believe
Lee will be getting in touch when he comes down next week to go for a
drink or ten. Maybe you can all go breakdancing.
Oh well, best be off for now. I can hear the gentle sound
of vodka calling my name,
                         cheers,
                                Gav
